Chinese video game publisher and online portal Net Ease late Wednesday beat analyst views for profit in the third quarter but came up short on revenue. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected Net Ease to earn $2.89 per share excluding items on sales of $1.43 billion. We maintained steady growth across each of our primary business lines in the third quarter with a continued focus on providing excellent games and products to the expanding online market, both domestically and abroad, Net Ease CEO William Ding said in a statement.
